What cost live in caregiver?

The costs of 24-hour home care:

The costs of live –  in caregiver are between € 2,500 to € 3,000 per month for full-time (36 – 40 hours) care. The costs depend on the level and experience of the live in caregiver and the intensity of the care who  to be provided and are based on the provision via the Social Insurance Bank (SVB). The live in caregiver will  work for you simply through   the SVB. The costs of live in caregiver can be financed from your Personal Budget (PGB).

Whatever we agree with each other, in all situations till the deployment of  the live – in carer  leads to much lower costs than traditional forms of care.

If the number of work hours is increasing or in the case of a very complex and intensive situation, the mediation office can call in a second care provider so that they can work alternately to comply with the Dutch Working Hours Low. The deployment varies from daily care to very intensive 24-hour care. A combination can also be made of live in caregiver  with other forms of care, such as informal care or private care.

Live in caregiver  is therefore accessible to everyone and is reimbursed from a personal budget (PGB). Anyone with an indication is eligible for a PGB and therefore has a free choice of care. 

Live in caregiver consists of three standard options:

1) Household care € 2500

Household care or services for the family and elderly care is a form of home care in which professional care workers help people in need of care at home with performing various household tasks, with relocation in and around the home and with personal care.

The frequency of interventions depends to a large extent on the self-reliance of the applicant and his / her relatives.

Household care means, among other things, that a hot meal is prepared, rather small-scale cleaning work is carried out such as sweeping, mopping, window cleaning (no major cleaning work), groceries, laundry and ironing. If necessary, the live caregiver will also help the client with personal hygiene. 

2) Household and personal care, individual guidance € 3000

3) Household and personal care, guidance individual and nursing € 3700

If the care must be provided by a higher-qualified live – in caregiver with additional or specific experience from € 4500, a BIG registered nurse must be deployed.
