How Babs Zorg Bureau Service deals with the coronavirus

 Daily COVID-19 update 22 June 2020

69 new COVID-19 infections were reported today. Hospital admissions for 2 patients due to COVID-19 were reported (current or previous). Zero deaths were reported. Not all of the reported hospital admissions or deaths occurred within the last 24 hours. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with data from days in the past.

Since 1 June, anyone with symptoms can get tested. However, it is possible that not all people with COVID-19 infections will request a test. The actual numbers in the Netherlands are therefore probably higher than the numbers stated here.

The Netherlands is under the spell of the corona virus. This week, our Prime Minister Mark Rutte spoke in a speech about the measures and expectations that we should have in the near future. He said that the coronavirus will remain among us for the time being.

We understand that the coronavirus crisis is causing a great deal of unrest. Babs Zorg Bureau actively follows all recommendations of RIVM and adheres to a strict protocol with its employees and coordinators throughout the Netherlands. In this exceptional period, we wish our clients, families, employees and colleagues in health care a lot of health. We also want to emphasize that we must not lose sight of vulnerable groups in our society, especially now. This requires a lot of creativity from our employees. We will do everything we can to continue to provide Care Au pairs, clients and colleagues from home care with the support they are used to from us.

Right now it is important that everyone is well aware of our policy regarding the corona virus.

For that reason, we have taken the following measures and made agreements:

  • Babs Zorg Bureau follows all recommendations of RIVM and the measures of the government.
  • We have a strict national protocol with internal and external guidelines that every employee is aware of.
  • There is active written and telephone communication with employees, families, clients and colleagues in the home care.
  • From the management, video messages are shared weekly, and if necessary more often, to provide additional text and explanations about the situation. We want to use this to provide additional information and keep everyone informed.
  • No employees of Babs Zorg Bureau have become infected with the Corona virus.

More demand for extra help

It is expected that our clients will not receive any family visits in the near future. All our employees are called upon to be extra available during this time together with the client.

We offer extra personal attention to the client and family over the phone or in any other way.
