What does an Au pair?\u00a0<\/h2>\n

\u2022 The Au pair may not take the mother\u2018s role<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 She mustn\u2019t be responsible for the children by herself
\u2022 Her job is to support
\u2022 She may not do the work of the cleaner, cook or ironing
\u2022 She may not for example do spring cleaning, car washing or shoe polish
\u2022 Her tasks description is limited to light household activities such as cleaning up, dusting, washing dishes, vacuuming, cooking, ironing, shopping, making beds of children (focused especially for children) etc..<\/p>\n

Au pair tasks<\/strong>
The following household and child related tasks are part of the au pair program:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Putting children to bed, getting children out of bed.<\/li>\n
  • Feeding children (bottle and baby food).<\/li>\n
  • Daily childcare; changing diapers, assisting with going to the toilet, giving shower \/ bath, brushing teeth, brushing hair.<\/li>\n
  • Preparing breakfast and lunch, preparing lunchboxes for children.<\/li>\n
  • Preparing daycare bags and schoolbags for children.<\/li>\n
  • Taking children to daycare and school, picking them up.<\/li>\n
  • Organizing activities, offering assistance and joining activities for children such as:\u00a0 reading, doing arts and crafts, swimming, going to the playground, taking over to play dates, etc.<\/li>\n
  • oing dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher.<\/li>\n
  • Preparing simple dinners (warm).<\/li>\n
  • Keeping the kitchen clean.<\/li>\n
  • Small \u00a0grocery shopping.<\/li>\n
  • Doing the laundry, folding, ironing and putting laundry away.<\/li>\n
  • Picking up and cleaning children\u2019s rooms.<\/li>\n
  • Picking up and cleaning own room.<\/li>\n
  • Picking up and cleaning the house in general: vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, keeping floors clean.<\/li>\n
  • Making beds and changing sheets.<\/li>\n
  • Taking out garbage (same level floor).<\/li>\n
  • Walking and feeding pets.<\/li>\n
  • Watering plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
